Young PGGM
Much More Than Just a Social Club
Josje van den Heuvel (Pension Lawyer) and Ruben van den Bovenkamp (Business Intelligence Engineer)
Young PGGM is an organization that every colleague under the age of 36 is automatically a member of. Originally created for networking, Young PGGM now provides a platform for young professionals from different units and specializations to come together and share knowledge and experiences. In addition to networking, Young PGGM holds various events and activities for its members, such as workshops, seminars, and social events.
As a large organization, PGGM can be a challenging place to find peers of your generation if you work in a small team or with older colleagues. That's where Young PGGM comes in - it provides a space for young professionals to connect with others in their age group, participate in sports activities, or attend knowledge sessions on topics that interests its members. Study trips to cities like London or Paris, ski trips, and galas foster additional connections. Overall, Young PGGM is dedicated to promoting knowledge sharing, athleticism, connection, and camaraderie among young professionals within PGGM.
Young PGGM is dedicated to promoting knowledge sharing, athleticism, connection, and camaraderie. In and outside the office.
Additionally, the youth organization serves another purpose. Not only does Young PGGM inform its members about relevant developments within and outside of PGGM, but it also seeks to understand what matters to young professionals: what do they consider important in terms of housing, collective labor agreements, fitness programs, or inclusivity? The board and management explicitly take these opinions into account in their policies.
