We believe that having diverse teams leads to improved performance. That's why we've made a concerted effort to focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in 2023. However, we recognize that there is still work to be done. We would like to increase the representation of women and individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds in leadership positions within our company to enhance our workforce potential.

Diversity and Inclusion

In 2023, we started with co-creation sessions, ambassadors, and a new governance. The Diversity Board is integrated into a PGGM-wide DEI community, with Edwin Velzel (CEO) as the main sponsor. The DEI Core Team of six members with representatives from different organizational units organized various events around important topics such as Women's Day, Pride Month, and Diversity Day in 2023. By highlighting these topics within our company, we emphasize that everyone is welcome at PGGM and that everyone contributes to a pleasant working environment. To promote inclusivity, English will be the official language within PGGM Investments in 2024, and the other units will assess whether and when they also want to start using English.

At PGGM, we are open to different ideas and contributions. Society is diverse and we want to reflect that diversity as an organization. This will help us better understand and fulfill the needs and desires of our customers and their participants.
